If they’ve worked with a variety of clients, it’s a good sign. It shows that they can adapt their skills to meet with an individual’s requirements. Check that they have reviews or testimonials on their site too. These will be a great indicator of what they’re like to work with.
A show reel – Okay, so they have experience working with businesses like yours and a list of happy clients. But don’t take someone else’s word for it. You need to see examples of their work. If the production company doesn’t have a show reel, or aren’t prepared to show you work they’ve done before don’t hire them.
Facilities – if you’re hiring a production company, you’ll want them to offer everything you need. From equipment to location. There are talented people offering small scale production companies, editing on free software, using low-end cameras. But you’re looking for quality. It’s important the people you choose can offer everything.
The team – If you’re going to hire a production company, prepare to spend a lot of time with the team. You’re going to be working closely with them over however long it takes to complete the project. So it’s important that you get along with them. If possible meet up with them before settling on choosing them.
